Notes
Country: Italy (IT).
From November 15, 2023, new rules have been introduced in Italy regarding the use of Alphanumeric Sender IDs (Alpha SIDs) by international brands. According to the regulatory authority AGCOM, international customers are not allowed to use Alpha SIDs for SMS delivery in Italy. Instead, customers must use a domestic local number (LVN) as their sender ID, which can be purchased through our platform. National brands still have the option to use alphanumeric sender IDs, provided these are registered with the regulatory authority. For more information, please contact your account manager.
Sender ID guidelines include that alphanumeric sender IDs are currently fully supported. Numeric sender IDs are not supported unless offered through a two-way service. Generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS, NOTICE, etc. are prohibited. It is recommended to use a representative brand or company name to ensure delivery.
It is important to note that the aforementioned regulations from the Italian regulatory authority have been postponed until further notice, meaning that Alpha senders are currently dynamically supported and LVNs can be used. P2P traffic is prohibited and no political, religious, unsolicited promotional or gambling content may be sent. There are no additional content restrictions beyond those stated in our Acceptable Use Policy.
For marketing purposes, we offer dedicated routes for bulk traffic. If your traffic is exclusively related to marketing, please contact our support team to be routed through these routes. Before sending marketing traffic, consent is required from the recipients.
