Braiding in messages
Sending messages to many users at the same time is easy and convenient, but how do you make sure your SMS messages stay personal?
As a Sure SMS user, you can personalize your messages by merging the recipient's name into the message itself. This creates a better contact and thus a better relationship with the recipient, whether they are an employee, a customer or a potential user of one of your products.
Options for both first and last name
For example, if you have a group of customers that you send to, you can create them with first name and last name in SureSMS. When you send messages, you can write a small code in the message where the first name should be.
For example, you can write "Hi , happy birthday". The system will automatically merge the person's first name into the space where the code is written.
Merge other fields
You also have the option to add your own values. For example, it can be
Car brand if you are a mechanic
Class number if you teach
Staircase if it is a housing association
For example, you can write "Hi , happy birthday". The system will automatically merge the person's first name into the space where the code is written.
Depending on the recipient of the message and the function of the message, you can select first name, last name or their full name.
We've made a short video about the feature, which you can watch by following the link on this page.

It is important that you check that all contacts are updated with the correct first and last names before using the merge function.
Here you can read some examples of how our customers are currently using the feature: "Merge recipient name in GroupSMS"
- A hospital uses SMS braiding in a research project. They send daily messages to study participants with information, instructions for medication and dosage.
- A car dealership sends automated text messages to customers the day after their car has been repaired. The SMS asks about the customer's experience of the process. This gives the car dealership a quick and effective evaluation of their performance.
- A weight consultant uses the merge feature when sending out SMS messages to members. Personalized messages with strong messages are much more motivating and generally have a greater impact.
- Among our customers who use the merge function are also many who don't actually send a large volume of messages, but where the names are integrated into more personal messages. For example, we have companies that use it to call meetings, just as we have a watchmaker who uses it for messages regarding goods for collection.
