When it comes to sender IDs, registration is required for alphanumeric sender IDs. Without registration, sender IDs will be changed to a generic designation. For Movitel, alphanumeric sender IDs need to be registered, while for Vodacom they will be blocked if not registered. Generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS, NOTICE, etc. are not allowed.
For numeric sender IDs, Movitel will change these to ensure delivery, while other networks accept numeric sender IDs.
It is important to note that opt-in consent is required from users before marketing messages are sent. P2P traffic is not allowed and no content related to politics, religion, unsolicited advertising or gambling may be sent. In addition to these guidelines, our Acceptable Use Policy applies.
