Chile (CL) is located in South America and has the country code 56. When sending SMS messages to Chile, you should be aware of specific sender ID guidelines. Alphanumeric sender IDs will be changed to a random numeric sender ID. Numeric sender IDs are not supported unless it is part of a two-way service. Generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS, NOTICE etc. are not allowed.
In order to send marketing messages, prior consent is required from the recipients. It is important to note that person-to-person (P2P) traffic is prohibited. When formatting destination phone numbers, a digit (9) must be added in front of the mobile number after the country code. For example, if a number is 564756XXXXX, it will be changed to 5694756XXXXX to ensure correct delivery.
It is necessary to initiate an MT message first for an MO message to work. Content related to politics, religion, unsolicited advertising or gambling is not allowed. There are no additional content restrictions beyond those stated in our Acceptable Use Policy.
