Notes
Country: Tanzania (TZ).
Tanzania has specific rules for sending SMS messages that must be followed to ensure proper delivery. Alphanumeric sender IDs are allowed, but dynamic alphanumeric sender IDs are not supported and will be overwritten. In order to send messages with sender IDs to the MIC/Tigo (64002), Zantel (64003) and Airtel (64005) networks, it is necessary to register the sender ID beforehand. Unregistered sender IDs will be overwritten to ensure delivery. Sender IDs are case sensitive and must include the brand name.
The use of numeric sender IDs is not allowed unless it is part of a two-way service. Generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS, NOTICE, etc. are prohibited. To start the Sender ID registration process, please contact your account manager or support.
For marketing traffic, it is necessary to obtain consent from users before sending messages. P2P traffic is not allowed and no political, religious, unsolicited promotional or gambling-related content may be sent. There are no additional content restrictions beyond those stated in our Acceptable Use Policy.
It is important to note that the rules for SMS broadcasts may change and we do our best to ensure that all information is up-to-date and accurate. For further information or assistance, please contact our support team.
