Notes
Country: Romania (RO).
Sender ID guidelines: Alphanumeric sender IDs must be registered to ensure delivery. Unregistered sender IDs may be changed to a short code to ensure messages are delivered. All registered sender IDs are case sensitive, meaning variations of the same sender ID must be registered individually. Numeric sender IDs are not supported unless in the context of specific services. Generic Sender IDs such as INFO, SMS, NOTICE etc. are not allowed; it is recommended to use a representative brand or company name to ensure delivery.
Use cases and content guidelines: 2-way SMS is not supported with alphanumeric sender IDs and replies to messages from the shortcode may incur additional costs. Anti-spam measures prevent sending duplicate SMS (same source, destination and content) within five minutes. This does not apply to parts of the same concatenated SMS. Mobile operators' requirements include not sending phishing traffic and penalties will be applied for violations.
It is important to note that the rules for SMS sending in Romania are subject to change and we endeavor to keep all information up-to-date and accurate. For further information or assistance, please contact your account manager or the support team.
