Notes

Country: Norway (NO)

In Norway, there are specific rules for sending SMS messages. Alphanumeric sender IDs require registration for the Telia network. For the Telenor network, numeric sender IDs are not supported unless virtual numbers purchased from an approved supplier are used. Other numeric sender IDs may be overwritten to ensure delivery. For the Telia network, numeric sender IDs are allowed, but when an alphanumeric sender ID is registered, numeric sender IDs are not accepted unless offered as part of a two-way service.

Generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS, NOTICE, etc. are prohibited. To begin the Sender ID registration process, it is recommended to contact your account manager or support.

When it comes to usage and content, user consent is required before sending marketing messages. P2P traffic is prohibited and no content related to politics, religion, unsolicited promotion or gambling may be sent. There are no additional content restrictions beyond those stated in our Acceptable Use Policy.

It is important to note that SMS broadcasting regulations in individual countries are constantly changing and we cannot be held responsible for any inaccuracies. However, we endeavor to ensure that all information on specific terms is up-to-date and accurate.
