Notes

Nicaragua (NI) has specific guidelines for sending SMS messages. Alphanumeric sender IDs are supported and for the Claro network, alphanumeric sender IDs used before November 1, 2025 have been approved. To introduce new alphanumeric sender IDs, please contact your account manager for registration requirements. Numeric sender IDs are not supported unless offered as part of a two-way service. Generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS, NOTICE, etc. are prohibited.

When it comes to marketing traffic, consent is required from mobile users before messages are sent. P2P traffic is not allowed and content related to politics, religion, unsolicited promotion or gambling is also prohibited. There are no additional content restrictions beyond those stated in our Acceptable Use Policy.

It is important to note that the rules for text messaging in Nicaragua are subject to change and we strive to keep all information updated and correct. For further information or assistance, please contact our support team.
