Uwagi

Country: Japan (JP).

In Japan, there are specific rules for sending SMS messages that must be followed. Alphanumeric sender IDs are supported, while numeric sender IDs are not allowed unless a two-way service is used. In such cases, numeric sender IDs will be overwritten to ensure delivery. Generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS and NOTICE are prohibited.

When it comes to message content, there are special precautions against phishing SMS, which can affect the delivery of messages containing URL links. The Japanese networks do not publish their rejection criteria. For Unicode messages, the maximum length is 670 full-width characters for the Docomo, KDDI and Softbank networks, while it is 660 full-width characters for the Rakuten network.

For marketing messages, consent from users is required before traffic is sent. It is important to note that P2P traffic is prohibited, as is content related to politics, religion, unsolicited promotion or gambling. In addition, the general content restrictions in our Acceptable Use Policy apply.

We strive to keep the information updated and accurate, but we cannot be held responsible for changes in regulations. It is recommended to consult an expert to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
