Notes

Iraq (IQ) has specific rules for sending SMS messages. Sender ID guidelines require that alphanumeric sender IDs are case-sensitive and must contain the brand name. It is possible to change sender IDs to ensure delivery. Numeric Sender IDs are not supported unless a two-way service is offered and will be overwritten to ensure delivery. Generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS, NOTICE etc. are not allowed.

Before sending marketing messages, consent is required from the recipients. P2P traffic is prohibited, as is content related to politics, religion, unsolicited advertising or gambling. There are no additional content restrictions beyond those stated in our Acceptable Use Policy.

It is important to note that the rules for SMS sending in different countries may change and we strive to keep the information updated and correct. For more information or advice, please contact our experts.
