Notes

Finland (FI) is subject to new rules from the Finnish regulator, Traficom, requiring Sender ID registration to improve message authenticity and reduce SMS fraud. From May 4, 2026, all Sender IDs used to send messages to Finnish mobile numbers must be pre-approved and registered with Finnish telecom operators. If a Sender ID is not registered by this date, it will be displayed as "Tuntematon" (Unknown) on recipients" devices. From November 2, 2026, unregistered Sender IDs may be completely blocked or replaced with "Roskaposti" (Spam). For more information, please contact your account manager.

Sender ID guidelines include that alphanumeric Sender IDs are supported, while numeric Sender IDs are not supported unless offered as part of a bidirectional service. Generic Sender IDs such as INFO, SMS, NOTICE, etc. are prohibited. It is also important to note that customers who have already registered Sender IDs must provide a LOA (Letter of Authorization) to complete the registration process. All registered Sender IDs can be found on the Traficom website.

To begin the Sender ID registration process, please contact your account manager or support.

For marketing traffic, it is necessary to obtain consent from users before sending marketing messages. P2P traffic is not allowed.

We do our best to ensure that all information on specific regulations is up-to-date and accurate. For any questions or need for assistance, please feel free to contact us.
