Notes
Country: Philippines (PH).
The Philippines has specific guidelines for sending A2P SMS messages. It is mandatory to pre-register alphanumeric sender IDs for all networks. Unregistered senders will be overwritten in the best possible way. Numeric sender IDs are not supported unless it is part of a two-way service. Generic sender IDs are generally not supported and certain specific SIDs are prohibited, including "Info", "InfoSMS", "OTP", "NoteAlert", "REMINDERS", "Notify", "SMSInfo", "Info-SMS", "NOTICE", "SMSPin" and "Pincode". To begin the Sender ID registration process, please contact your account manager or support.
According to local operator policies, sender IDs must be included in the SMS content. Globe Telecom has announced that VRN and long codes are blocked for A2P SMS. It is recommended to use alphanumeric sender IDs when sending A2P SMS to Globe, while long codes can still be used to receive replies from Globe subscribers. Due to an increase in smishing attacks in the Philippines, Smart is now blocking SMS messages containing certain URL shorteners, which also affects SMS to Smart, Sun and Dito as well as numbers ported to Globe. It is therefore recommended to remove shortened links and replace them with the full destination URL.
Sender IDs containing the words "TEST", "MESSAGE" and "SMS" and their permutations (e.g. "TESTING", "TEST123", "ABCTEST", "MSG", "INFO" etc.) are not allowed. Alphanumeric sender IDs must not contain more than 5 numeric characters. Sender IDs that imply affiliation with Philippines networks such as SMART, SUN or GLOBE, as well as their permutations (e.g. "SMARTMONEY", "SUNCELL", "SMARTLIVE", "SMARTLOAD" etc.
