Notes

Country: Israel (IL).

In Israel, there are specific guidelines for sending SMS messages. Alphanumeric sender IDs are supported but may be changed to ensure delivery. Numeric sender IDs are not supported unless a two-way service is used and these will be overwritten to ensure delivery. Generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS, NOTICE etc. are not allowed.

In order to send marketing messages, prior consent is required from the recipients. It is important to note that SMS messages cannot be delivered to kosher phone numbers. Kosher phones are a type of phone that has received rabbinate approval and are designed for communication without entertainment features. These phones are subject to specific restrictions, including blocking content that is not deemed appropriate by certain communities.

There are also specific phone numbers that are considered kosher, and these include numbers from different operators. P2P traffic is not allowed and no political, religious, unsolicited promotional or gambling content may be sent.

It is important to be aware that the rules for SMS messages can change and we strive to keep the information updated and correct. For further information or assistance, it is recommended to contact an expert.
