Transmitter ID guidelines require that alphanumeric transmitter IDs must be registered in advance for all networks. Alphanumeric transmitter IDs are case-sensitive and must include the brand name. Numeric transmitter IDs are not supported unless offered through a two-way service. Generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS, NOTICE, etc. are prohibited. To begin the Sender ID registration process, please contact your account manager or support.
Use cases and content guidelines require a total space of 5 characters at the end of each SMS to be reserved for the network operator code (BXXX), which operators will add to identify the specific gateway used to deliver the messages. The Turkish Telecommunications Authority has announced a regulation that will come into effect on April 1, 2026, requiring all local mobile network operators to block international A2P SMS messages containing a URL or link sent to Turkish mobile subscribers. Any message that includes a link - whether it is a shortened URL, a tracking link, an unsubscribe link or a regular domain name - will be completely blocked when the regulation comes into effect. This restriction applies to all international senders and only SMS messages that do not contain URLs will continue to be delivered after the effective date. Organizations with a legal business registration and physical presence in Turkey may be eligible to continue sending URLs, provided they comply with local requirements and receive approval from the operator. Even with full compliance and proper documentation, messages containing URLs may be subject to stricter assessment by the operator and may still be flagged or blocked by automated filtering systems.
