Kazakhstan (KZ) has specific rules for sending SMS messages. In order to use alphanumeric sender IDs, registration is required. Numeric sender IDs are not supported on the Beeline network and may be overwritten to ensure delivery. For other networks, numeric sender IDs can be used, but only after registration of alphanumeric sender IDs. Generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS and NOTICE are prohibited.
When it comes to usage and content, there are special guidelines for marketing traffic. Promotional traffic is only allowed between 9:00 and 21:00 local time (GMT+6). Traffic sent outside of this time may be blocked by the operator, so it is recommended not to send. Unsolicited traffic is considered spam and may result in fines. If a subscriber complains about receiving unsolicited messages, written consent from that subscriber must be provided, which must be signed and show their acceptance to receive such messages from a particular service. Without this consent, the traffic will be considered spam and may result in fines.
There are also restrictions on P2P traffic and content related to politics, religion, unsolicited promotion or gambling is prohibited. There are no additional content restrictions beyond those stated in our Acceptable Use Policy.
