Sender ID guidelines: Alphanumeric sender ID is not supported and will be changed to a random shortcode at the receiver end. Numeric transmitter ID is only supported for subscription-based shortcodes. If there is no subscription, the transmitter ID will change to a random shortcode. Generic transmitter ID is not supported and will also be changed to a random shortcode.

SMS overview: We only support international business SMS to India. We do not support domestic SMS to India from March 2025. As per the local regulations of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), domestic businesses need to submit A2P SMS via domestic connections to end recipients after successful registration with Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT). International companies are not affected by these DLT rules. International customers can contact support or their account managers to enable ILDO routing if they intend to send OTP/transaction or opt-in promotional SMS.

SMS types: By default, users will fall under the international advertising category (SMS without opt-in) with the restrictions mentioned. If you are an international user or have a different SMS type than the one listed, please contact your account manager or submit a support request.

Traffic type: Content allowed includes internationally originated OTP or transactional content and opt-in advertising content. If the customer is registered in India but the SMS originates from outside India, it will be identified as international traffic.

Please note that SMS broadcasting terms in individual countries are constantly changing and we cannot be held responsible for incorrect information. However, we make every effort to ensure that all information on specific terms is up-to-date and accurate.
