Country: Egypt (EC)
In Egypt, there are specific guidelines for using SMS services. Alphanumeric sender IDs are allowed, but they must include the brand name. Numeric sender IDs are not supported unless they are offered as part of a two-way service. Generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS, NOTICE, etc. are prohibited.
When it comes to marketing traffic, consent from users is required before messages are sent. It is important to note that person-to-person (P2P) traffic is prohibited and no content related to politics, religion, unsolicited promotion or gambling may be sent. There are no additional content restrictions beyond those stated in our Acceptable Use Policy.
We do our best to ensure that all information on specific terms is up to date and accurate, but please be aware that SMS broadcasting regulations in individual countries are constantly changing. If you have any questions or need assistance, our experts are ready to help.
