Hints and tips

Vanuatu (VU) has specific guidelines for sending SMS messages. Alphanumeric sender IDs are allowed, as are numeric sender IDs. However, generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS and NOTICE are not allowed.

When it comes to marketing traffic, it is important to obtain consent from recipients before sending messages. P2P traffic is not allowed and no content related to politics, religion, unsolicited promotion or gambling may be sent. In addition to these guidelines, our Acceptable Use Policy applies.

We recommend that you stay updated on any changes to the rules for text messaging in Vanuatu, as these may change over time. We do our best to ensure that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
