Notes

Sierra Leone (SL) has specific guidelines for SMS sending. Alphanumeric sender IDs are supported, while numeric sender IDs are not allowed for the Africell network, but are allowed for other networks. Generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS and NOTICE are prohibited.

When it comes to marketing traffic, prior consent from recipients is required before messages are sent. P2P traffic is not allowed and no content related to politics, religion, unsolicited promotion or gambling may be sent. There are no additional content restrictions beyond those described in our Acceptable Use Policy.

It is important to note that the rules for SMS broadcasts can change and we do our best to ensure that all information is up-to-date and accurate. If you have any questions or need help, please feel free to contact us.
