Notes

Country: Lesotho (LS)

In Lesotho, there are specific guidelines for sending SMS messages. Alphanumeric sender IDs are supported, but there are exceptions for Vodacom where sender IDs may be changed to a random number to ensure delivery. Numeric sender IDs are not allowed and may also be changed to ensure delivery. Generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS, NOTICE, etc. are prohibited.

When it comes to marketing traffic, it is important to obtain consent from users before sending messages. P2P traffic is not allowed and no content related to politics, religion, unsolicited advertising or gambling may be sent. In addition, the general content requirements in our Acceptable Use Policy apply.

It is important to note that the rules for SMS messages can change and we strive to keep the information updated and correct. For further information or advice, please feel free to contact our expert team.
