Notes
Kuwait (KW) has specific guidelines for sending SMS messages. Sender ID guidelines require that alphanumeric sender IDs are case-sensitive and must include the brand name. It is recommended to pre-register the sender ID to ensure delivery. Numeric Sender IDs are not supported unless offered as part of a two-way service and may be overwritten to ensure delivery. Generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS, NOTICE, etc. are not allowed. To start the Sender ID registration process, please contact your account manager or support.
In terms of usage and content, marketing traffic is allowed with pre-registration and all marketing messages must be sent with a sender ID beginning with AD- (e.g. AD-XXX). It is important to note that P2P traffic is prohibited and no content related to politics, religion, unsolicited promotion or gambling may be sent. There are no additional content restrictions beyond those stated in our Acceptable Use Policy.
It is important to be aware that the rules for text messaging in Kuwait are subject to change and we strive to keep all information up-to-date and accurate. For further information or specific advice, it is recommended to contact our experts.
