Notes

Country: South Korea (KR).

South Korea has specific guidelines for sending SMS messages. Alphanumeric and numeric sender IDs are not supported and will be changed to a random long number to ensure delivery. Marketing messages must include a header with advertising (e.g. "(광고)" in Korean) and a footer with unsubscribe information (e.g. "수신거부" in Korean and an unsubscribe number). According to local laws, companies operating in South Korea are required to confirm with recipients every two years whether they still wish to receive marketing messages, based on the date of the recipient's initial consent.

Korean networks support EUC-KR character encoding, but delivery of Chinese characters cannot be guaranteed. The message length is 140 bytes (140 characters in GSM-7 or 70 characters in Unicode), including the initial text. It is possible to send messages up to 1000 Unicode or 2000 GSM characters in length as a single message, known as LMS in South Korea. By default, LMS is not supported and messages may be truncated or delivered in different parts that may not be received in the correct order. If you require full LMS support for all networks in South Korea, please contact your account manager.

Each message will automatically have an introductory text added for delivery, either "[Web 발신]" - meaning SMS sent from web or "[국제발신]" - meaning SMS sent from abroad.
