Notes
Country: Kenya (KE).
In Kenya, there are specific guidelines for the use of alphanumeric sender IDs. Dynamic alphanumeric sender IDs are supported, but there are special requirements for the Safaricom (63902) and Telkom Kenya (63907) networks where pre-registration is mandatory. Sender IDs are case-sensitive and must contain the brand name. Numeric sender IDs are not supported unless offered through a two-way service. Generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS, NOTICE, etc. are not allowed. To begin the Sender ID registration process, please contact your account manager or support.
When it comes to marketing traffic, it is necessary to obtain consent from users before sending messages. P2P traffic is not allowed and no content related to politics, religion, unsolicited promotion or gambling may be sent. There are no additional content restrictions beyond those stated in our Acceptable Use Policy.
It is important to note that the rules for SMS messaging in different countries may change and we do our best to ensure that all information is updated and correct. For further information or assistance, please contact our support team.
