French Polynesia has specific guidelines for sending SMS messages. Alphanumeric sender IDs are supported, while numeric sender IDs are not allowed. Generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS and NOTICE are prohibited.

When sending marketing messages, prior consent is required from the recipients. It is important to note that person-to-person (P2P) traffic is prohibited and no content related to politics, religion, unsolicited advertising or gambling may be sent.
