Transmitter ID guidelines allow alphanumeric transmitter IDs, however, transmitter IDs can be replaced by a short code for Orange. Numeric sender IDs are allowed, but not for Africell and Airtel. Generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS, NOTICE etc. are prohibited.
For marketing, it is necessary to obtain consent from users before sending marketing messages. P2P traffic is not allowed. Content related to politics, religion, unsolicited promotion or gambling is also prohibited. No additional content restrictions apply beyond those mentioned in our Acceptable Use Policy.
