Country: Cambodia (KH).

Sender ID guidelines: In Cambodia, there are specific requirements for the use of Sender ID. For alphanumeric transmitter IDs, they are not supported by Cootel/Xinwei (45616) and will be changed to a random international number to ensure delivery. For Smart (45606), pre-registration of alphanumeric transmitter IDs is required; otherwise unregistered transmitter IDs will be changed to a random transmitter ID. Viettel (45608) will also change alphanumeric transmitter IDs to a random transmitter ID to ensure delivery. Other networks support alphanumeric transmitter IDs. Numeric sender IDs are generally accepted, but generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS, NOTICE etc. are prohibited.

Usage and content guidelines: To ensure high quality SMS traffic to Smart Cambodia, it is recommended to use a pre-registered route for notifications, OTP messages and marketing. Without registration, operators can block traffic. P2P traffic is prohibited and content related to politics, religion, unsolicited promotion or gambling is not allowed. There are no additional content restrictions beyond those stated in our Acceptable Use Policy.

It is important to note that the rules for SMS messages in individual countries may change and we strive to keep the information updated and correct. For further information or assistance, please contact our support team.
