SMS in mail and calendar systems
Most companies, if not all, have a calendar and email system today. These are often tied together so that there is only one system. It could be Microsoft Outlook, Google Office or Yahoo. There are many more than that.
If your company uses the calendar to book meetings with customers, it can be efficient and smart to combine an SMS solution with the calendar system. Calendar systems can send a so-called .ics file to the customer, so they can click on it and get the appointment in the calendar immediately.
With an SMS integration to the calendar system, you can also send an SMS to the customer - or employee - e.g. 2 hours before the meeting. That way you can help them remember the appointment.
Mail2SMS
There are many ways to integrate between mail systems and SMS systems. The simplest is to use a so-called mail2sms solution. Here you simply send an email to an SMS gateway and the SMS gateway then forwards the message to the mobile phone. SureSMS has a mail2sms solution. As one of the only ones in Denmark, we also have an sms2mail solution. It goes without saying that the message goes the other way. When the recipient replies to the SMS, you receive it by email. You can just press reply in your mail program and your message is sent to your phone.
iCalendar
iCal is an internet format. An international standard for accessing calendars on the internet. SureSMS also has a solution to read these iCal and send SMS messages in an efficient way. Once set up, you don't have to think about anything - SureSMS automatically retrieves new appointments and sends out SMS messages to the participants. However, the downside of this solution is that it is a bit complicated to set up.

TimePlan Software
TimePlan is also a Danish system made in Windows. It has many features such as shift planning, time tracking, absence tracking and HR. TimePlan has an SMS integration to SureSMS, so it's very easy to set up.
