Send a MobilePay link in a text message
MobilePay SMS allows you to include a payment link in a text message. SureSMS replaces the merge field with a short link. When the recipient opens the link, MobilePay opens with the amount and your merchant number already filled in.
Payment is made via MobilePay. SureSMS can see that the link was included in the message, but SureSMS cannot see whether the recipient paid.
You need to take care of that first
- A MobilePay merchant number.
- MobilePay has been enabled on the SureSMS account.
- A phone with MobilePay that you can send a test message to.
How to Set It Up
- Go to Integrations → MobilePay.
- Hit Active to.
- Enter your number in Dealer number.
- Save the integration.
Without a dealer number, the link has no recipient. Without Active the merge field will not become a payment link.
How to Write the Amount
In the text message, write:
Pay here:150.00 The amount is in kroner and øre, with a period as the decimal separator.
Example you can copy
Thank you for your order. Please pay the test amount here:When the message is sent, the merge field becomes a short link in the form https://a-l.ink/ plus a code.
How to Test
- Enable the integration and save the dealer number.
- Send a text message to your own number with a small amount, for example
<%mobilepay:1.00%>. - Open the link on your phone.
- Check in MobilePay to make sure the amount is 1.00 and that the recipient is your merchant number.
- Cancel the payment unless you want to complete the test.
If it doesn't work
- The merge field is still in the text message: Make sure MobilePay is Active.
- Incorrect recipient: Check it out Dealer number.
- Incorrect amount: Use a period as the decimal separator, for example
150.00.
