Key boxes and codes
If you have a physical key box or padlock with a code, you can have SureSMS send the code via SMS to a number. A customer can send an SMS and receive the code, so you know who got the code and when.
Create key box
First you need a SureSMS account. If you don't have one, you can read about getting one here: Create a free account
If you already have an account, log in with your account here: Login
In the menu, select Address Book -> Groups
In the top right corner, click on Options -> Create new
Give the group a Name. Note that it cannot start with a number.
Give the group a Keyword. Keyword is the word users should send in the SMS message.
Click on the Gem
Back in the overview, click the pencil next to the group you just created. This will bring you in and allow you to edit the group.
You can now change the settings for Return SMS, where you write what the answer should be. For example, the code for the cabinet is 1234.
Check the box Disable incoming SMS to group.
At the bottom of the screen you can see how customers can order the PIN code. Typically by sending Register [Keyword] to +4593700701 or by scanning the QR code.
Click on Save
See which numbers have been assigned a code
You can also see when a code has been issued and to whom. You can do this by clicking on Messaging and click on Outbox. Here you can see all the SMS messages sent with information about the code.
