SureSMS

Import SMS customers from ideal.shop

ideal.shop SMS Used to import customers into SureSMS when they have agreed to receive text messages regarding their order. The consent checkbox determines which customers are imported. An order without the checkbox selected will not be converted into a contact.

You need to take care of that first

  • An ideal.shop store with API access.
  • Username, Apikey and API URL from ideal.shop.
  • A custom field on the order that the customer fills out when they want to receive a text message. You must know the exact name of the field.
  • A test purchase using your own cell phone number.

How to Set It Up

  1. Go to Integrations → ideal.shop.
  2. Hit Active to.
  3. Fill out Username, Apikey and API URL.
  4. Enter the field title in Custom Field. Upper- and lowercase letters must match ideal.shop.
  5. Click Gem.
  6. Open up View log, once you've placed the test order.

SureSMS creates the group itself ideal.shop in the address book. You don't need to create the group first.

Who's coming along?

Only orders where the specified field is filled in. An order without this field, or where the customer has not given consent, will not generate a new contact. These instructions cover new orders after setup; do not assume that the entire order history will be imported.

How to Test

  1. Place two test orders using your own number.
  2. In one, the SMS field must be filled in. In the other, it must be left blank.
  3. Wait for the next run and read the log.
  4. Open the group ideal.shop in the address book.
  5. Verify that only the order with consent has created a contact.

If it doesn't work

  • No contacts: Make sure that Custom Field matches ideal.shop exactly.
  • The log shows an error: Check it out Username, Apikey and API URL.
  • Both test orders include: Make sure that the consent checkbox is actually checked only on one of the orders.
