Subscribe and unsubscribe to lists via SMS

Signing users up to lists can be a BIG job. But luckily, there are easier solutions!

If you want users to be able to opt-in and opt-out themselves via SMS, it's easy to set up a solution.

Depending on your needs, you can either choose the solution in our SureSMS gateway with no subscription and no extra costs, or choose our 2-way solution, which offers slightly more options. 

2 options
Whether you have a 2-way solution or exclusively use our SMS gateway account, your users can subscribe and unsubscribe via SMS. In SureSMS, we have "subscribe to lists via SMS" free of charge as a feature in our gateway. However, for some customers it may be beneficial to set up their own 2-way solution.

The difference between the two solutions is mainly about 3 things:

• Phone number
  As a regular customer, you use our phone number. With a 2-way solution, you create your own phone number. This allows you to both choose the number - by sending your own SIM card - and to have the mobile number forwarded so that users can call you with answers or questions.

• Keywords
  When you want your customers to opt-in/out via SMS you use "Keywords". As a regular Gateway user, you use a so-called unique global keyword, i.e. it must be available / not used by others. More common keywords such as "sign up" or "create" will rarely be available. "sign up" or "create" will rarely be available, while more specialized words are often available.
  With a 2-way solution, you can freely choose keywords or you can choose to avoid keywords altogether.
  
• Price
  If you use our regular gateway, the feature is free and only costs the usual SMS rate. If you use a 2-way solution, it comes at the usual price. See our prices here!
