Optimize email marketing in Klaviyo with SMS marketing
SMS marketing is an effective add-on to newsletters because it reaches readers multiple times - and in different ways. And since 90 % of all SMS messages are read within 3 minutes, upgrading with SMS marketing is particularly effective.
Even if readers haven't given permission for SMS marketing, you can - under certain conditions - send SMSes about products that match previous purchases. If they have given permission, you have even more options. For example, you can use SMS remarketing or send SMSes as part of a welcome flow to new readers.
SMS marketing in Klaviyo is particularly popular because Klaviyo is so well suited for online stores and it's easy to sell physical products through SMS. However, it requires a gateway to send SMS to Danish or European customers, and fortunately, you can set up SureSMS for this purpose in just an hour.
Many benefits with SureSMS
You can either integrate SureSMS directly into Klaviyo so you have it all together in the future, or you can synchronize Klaviyo and SureSMS so you work with the SMS part of your marketing in SureSMS. The latter provides several features that are not available in Klaviyo.

- Include MobilePay link in messages because the message lands directly in the phone

How SMS works in Klaviyo
When you choose to integrate SureSMS with your Klaviyo account, it can be done in two different ways:
1) You can send SMS messages directly from your Klaviyo account.
2) You can sync your contacts from Klaviyo to SureSMS or
Send SMS directly from Klaviyo flows
It is possible to create your SMS integration between Klaviyo SMS and SureSMS so that you send your SMS directly from Klaviyo, but still via our SMS API. With this solution, you have all your reporting functions inside SureSMS, but you have to go into the Klaviyo system to see the result of your broadcast.
The benefits of this solution is that you only need to work on one platform. This solution is therefore great if you work a lot with SMS as part of your automation.
Disadvantages is that you lose some features that are not possible in Klaviyo. For example, this solution is not ideal if you work a lot with bulk sending - sending many SMS messages to many contacts at once. If you want to attach files or if you want to send MobilePay links directly in your messages.
Synchronization of contacts
Synchronization of contacts is done from Klaviyo via the direct Klaviyo>SureSMS integration. This means that SureSMS periodically pulls new contacts from Klaviyo and places them in a group in SureSMS.
The benefits The beauty of this solution is that you expand your options with SMS communication. In SureSMS, there are a number of options that are not available in Klaviyo. For example, you can see data about open and click-through rates, and you have the option to send attachments. You also have the option to send MobilePay links in the messages.
Disadvantages The problem with this solution is, of course, that you have two different systems with the same list and therefore have to work on two different platforms. Naturally, this can be an annoyance, but we rarely find this to be a problem for our customers.
