Opportunities and limitations - Australia
Overview
Australia is an extremely complex SMS market and there are many filters in place. SS7 networks are gradually shutting down and a stable, direct connection is essential to ensure SMS delivery.
We use fully featured connections, therefore dynamic sender ID, concatenated SMS and delivery to ported numbers are supported.
Sender
There are no additional sender ID restrictions beyond those in our Acceptable Use Policy.

SPAM content
To ensure ongoing compliance with the Australian SPAM Act 2003, commercial SMS messages:
Can only be sent with the consent of the recipient (account holder)
Must contain clear sender information
Must include an unsubscribe feature
Failure to comply can lead to a range of penalties from the ACMA, including formal warnings, fines and mandated account suspension. If there are any specific processes we should follow on our site to report SPAM to you, please submit a support request.
